Levi/Leather/Cruise bar. One of the few bars that is ON the strip, but not LIKE the strip. You won't find better drink specials in Boystown!
Established in 1996.
Took over the space of the Loading Dock in 1996 and became the Cell Block under new ownership - extablished itself as a leader in the Chicago gay leather community. The Mr. International Rubber contest originated at the Cell Block and remained there for many years. As age. location and AIDS diminished the ranks of the leather community, the Cell Block continues its tradition of inclusion and acceptance as we welcome the newest generation to populate the North Halsted strip. Everyone is welcome to meet up or make new friends.
