Our mission is to serve, support and empower Marin's LBGTQ community and everyone in our county living with and affected by HIV. The Spahr Center is Marin’s non-profit community agency devoted to serving, supporting and empowering our LGBTQ community and everyone in the county living with and affected by HIV. LGBTQ Programs and Services We have LGBTQ programs and services for youth, adults, seniors and families including social and support groups and activities, counseling, classroom education, cultural competency training and much more. Youth Drop-In Groups Groups meet at The Spahr Center twice a month and soon we’re adding new groups in Novato and Mill Valley. LGBT Senior Discussion Group Our monthly group meets in Novato at Margaret Todd Senior Center. Parent Support Group Support group for parents of gender questioning, gender fluid and/or transitioning children. Mental Health Counseling Our therapists are available to help young people, adults, seniors, couples and families. Call us to schedule an appointment. Senior Home Visiting We offer friendly visiting with isolated older adults provided by volunteers. Call us about volunteering or to request a weekly visit. Caregiver Support Information There are support services available in Marin for caregivers as well as respite services for the person receiving the care. Social Mixer/Activities The Spahr Center hosts a monthly LBGTQ mixer at San Rafael Joe’s and quarterly LGBT friendship luncheons at the Marin Yacht Club. Join us and give us a call to get on our email list. Education, Training & Speakers The Spahr Center is happy to provide classroom HIV and LGBTQ education. Information & Referral Information and Referral is our specialty. Contact us any time with questions or help finding a needed resource HIV Services andSupport We are Marin’s only HIV/AIDS community provider. If you’re living in the county with HIV, we can help you access services; including medical and housing case management, benefits advocacy, counseling, psychiatric evaluation, emergency financial assistance, linkage with other services, support groups and a food pantry.
