The Elizabeth Taylor 50-Plus Network offers a little something for everyone. Share and Support Discussion (SAS) Every Wednesday from 5:45 pm – 8:00 pm at 1035 Market Street; 4th Floor Hear what other guys are thinking and feeling about a bunch of different topics—this is a trusted place where everyone is free to share their perspective. Recent conversations have been about the role of sex in our lives when we were younger and now, how to get back into the dating world, and what PrEP means for dating and sex. Topics for each week are determined in advance. Get Going: Social Activities and Events Get out of the house and meet new friends during fun events around town as we attend concerts, museum openings, walking tours and group dinners. You’ll be surprised how much you have in common with guys you’ve just met. When you attend an event, you’ll meet a staff person or peer who will facilitate the event and introduce everyone. Learn about Living Well: Wellness Coaching Assess your own biological, psychological and social health through individual or small group sessions with a “wellness coach.” Identify positive and negative influences in your life—as well as things that are missing—while creating an individually tailored wellness improvement plan. Our wellness coaching staff are all professionally trained and are looking to help you create a better, healthier life tailored to your needs and interests. Do Something More: Making A Difference Projects Go beyond talking and use your wisdom, time and creativity to give back to the community. Members come together to brainstorm ideas and put them in motion. Become a Wellness Advocate Some 50-Plus members are home-bound due to illness, injury, or social anxiety. Wellness Advocates volunteer to check in on these members, provide a friendly ear, brief social interaction and a gentle nudge to get them out into the world. Each volunteer works with a member of the program staff to receive the proper support and training.
